    • Open six days a week from 9:00 to 5:00 (from 8:30 to 4:00 during the winter), our center provides a forum for teachers to meet with their peers, away from supervisors and administrators. We offer sections for discussion and training in all the curricular areas--in mathematics, science, English, Arabic, and social studies. With assistance from university specialists associated with Almawrid, teachers in these sections can draw on their invaluable practical experience to help each other solve problems, and they can apply their professional knowledge in developing new teaching methods and enrichment materials.
    • Through our publications and conferences, we extend these forums beyond Ramallah. For instance, our quarterly journal, Teaching Science, allows teachers from all regions to raise issues and problems encountered in their everyday work, suggest solutions, and receive help from their peers. To encourage this kind of dialogue, we also publish a newsletter, booklets, and worksheets, and co-sponsor and participate in educational conferences.
    • Through our science workshop we make low-cost science materials available to Palestinian teachers, who would otherwise lack the resources to do classroom experiments.
    • Through our library we give teachers access to the latest books on theoretical and practical aspects of education, books unavailable in local libraries.
    • Through our instructional videos in English language learning, science, and technology, we provide teachers with valuable, up-to-date audio-visual resources to complement their teaching.
